Museu Nacional dos Coches, located in Lisbon’s Belém district, holds one of the world’s most important collections of royal carriages, spanning from the 16th to the 19th centuries. Founded in 1905 by Queen Amélia in the former Royal Riding School, the museum showcases the ceremonial and travel vehicles used by Portuguese and European royalty.
